Andres Gonzalez is AWESOME
If you think the slow pace of golf and the lack of Tiger Woods and John Daly make the U.S. Open borderline un-watchable this year, I would have to agree with you. That is until I saw Andres Gonzalez A.K.A my new favorite golfer. Though he failed to make the cut, the Olympia Washington native made quite an impression.
If it's not his hilariously one sided twitter friendship with Tiger Woods (he invited him to go bowling) profiled by NJ.com, then it's his bitchin' sweet mullet and Fu Manchu combo platter. The PGA Tour Rookie looks like he should be playing bass and drinking Jack Daniels straight from a broken bottle instead of playing golf. In fact, in this weirdish "interview" by the Wall Street Journal, Andres Gonzalez talks about Angel Cabrera making fun of him for not speaking Spanish and the fact that he looks like Kenny Powers (I put interview in quotes because it's essentially Andres talking about himself).
Andres Gonzalez is once again giving us a reason to watchthe world's most boring spectator sport golf.
