Best of 2011 World Beard and Mustache - UPDATE

After further research, it appears that the rules and categories of the World Beard and Mustache Championships are determined by the host country/club.  In this case, The Norwegian Mustache Club of 91.  According to the website of the Norwegian Moustache Club, “Moustache is the word for facial hairs on the upper lip. At international contests, it is agreed that moustache hairs can start growing from up to a maximum of 1.5 cm beyond the end of the upper lip.”  The World Beard and Mustache Championship website says "It is not clear who is part of this agreement."

That is why, at this year's competition the Fu-Manchu was listed in the partial beard category and not in the Mustache. Silly Norwegians.

Local Boy Makes Good

I have learned that Giovanni Dominice is from Tucson Arizona! That stellar and slightly weird Imperial Mustache that is currently the best in the world is a desert creation.  Congratulations Giovanni!
